Short: MUI-compatible GUI for Amigas (alpha) Author: David Le Corfec, AROS Development Team, Mushin contributors Uploader: stepan coreboot org (Stefan Reinauer) Type: util/libs Version: 19.51 Requires: AmigaOS 3.1 or newer, 68000 or better Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is the first alpha release from Stefan Reinauer's Mushin fork. It is intended for testing and feedback; MUI compatibility is incomplete. Mushin is a free, open source user interface library based on AROS Zune. It aims to support classic MUI applications while staying responsive and economical on ordinary m68k Amigas. Compatibility work is ongoing; the version number does not imply complete MUI compatibility. The full distribution includes: - zunemaster.library and the alternative muimaster.library name - Zune preferences editor and classic Workbench icons - 13 native MCC/MCP plugins from BetterString, NList and TextEditor - Preferences and plugin translations - Example programs, SDK headers, documentation and corresponding source - A version-aware Amiga Installer script with backups No FPU is required. The system IEEE double math libraries are required. Installation requires Amiga Installer 43 or newer, which is not bundled. Extract the complete archive and double-click Install. The installer lets you choose components and shows existing and bundled library versions. Replacing muimaster.library affects applications using the standard MUI library name. Back up your installation and reboot after replacing loaded libraries. See the included ReadMe for installation and usage details. The libraries use the same source under both names. Bundled third-party classes open muimaster.library; using them alongside a different MUI implementation has not been established as compatible. Source builds support m68k-amigaos-gcc and retain the SAS/C build path. The GCC build targets 68000 and software floating point. Diagnostic tracing is disabled in normal builds. Physical-hardware performance and application compatibility still need broader testing. Mushin and its bundled components retain their original licenses and copyright notices.
