AmiPG v13.30 beta - Roland Alpha Juno Editor & Librarian
AmiPG is a comprehensive software editor, librarian, and
real-time MIDI audition suite designed specifically for
the Roland Alpha Juno 1 (JU-1), Alpha Juno 2 (JU-2),
MKS-50 rack module, and the SynthPlus series (HS-10/HS-80).
Built on the rock-solid foundation of the previous CLI version,
this release introduces a fully functional, scalable graphical
user interface (GUI) using standard AmigaOS GadTools.
FEATURES:
Full Graphical User Interface: Manage parameters visually with
sliders, buttons, and cycle gadgets designed to mimic the
functionality of the original PG-300 programmer hardware.
64-Patch Visual Library: A spreadsheet-style matrix allows you
to instantly view, select, and manage entire banks of tones.
Advanced SysEx Parsing: Automatically unpacks Roland's complex
32-byte multiplexed BLD format into editable 36-parameter arrays.
File I/O: Import/Export single patches (.syx APR), and full
64-tone bulk dumps (.syx BLD).
Smart Randomizer: Generates new tones using bounded math to
create musically useful patches, complete with a fantasy name
generator.
Envelope Graph: A dynamic visual representation of the complex
VCA/VCF envelope that updates in real-time as you move the
Time/Level sliders.
MIDI Audition Keyboard: A built-in virtual keyboard to test
sounds, trigger chords, and sweep Mod/Pitch/Aftertouch wheels
without needing an external controller attached.
Dynamic GUI Scaling: Seamlessly scales to fit modern RTG screens
while retaining compatibility with standard PAL/NTSC modes.
AppIcon & Iconify: Hide the program to the Workbench desktop to
save valuable Chip RAM while working in other applications.
REQUIREMENTS:
AmigaOS 2.04 (Kickstart 2.04) or higher.
Motorola 68000 CPU (68020+ recommended).
1 MB of total RAM (2 MB Fast RAM recommended).
A standard Amiga MIDI interface attached to the serial port.
INSTALLATION:
AmiPG is designed to be completely portable and self-contained. Simply
drag the AmiPG drawer to your hard drive (e.g., to your Work: or Sys:
partition) and double-click the AmiPG icon to launch!
For comprehensive documentation, view AmiPG.guide using MultiView
or any standard AmigaGuide reader.
CHANGES IN THIS RELEASE (v13.30):
Major overhaul from the previous v4.5.0 CLI release.
Implemented a complete GadTools GUI.
Added dedicated Screen Mode handling (Workbench, PAL, NTSC, Custom RTG).
Added Envelope Graph visualization.
Added virtual MIDI Audition Keyboard.
Added AppIcon/Iconify support.
FUTURE PLANS:
A complete rewrite utilizing the Magic User Interface (MUI) is
actively in development to replace the current GadTools interface,
offering a more modern, resizable, and highly customizable environment. |
